Freenome is a biotechnology company based in South San Francisco dedicated to early cancer detection through simple blood tests.
Principal UX Designer | January 2021 – November 2025
End-to-End Design: Designed the software ecosystem for SimpleScreen CRC, the company’s first cancer screening test, creating a cohesive experience throughout the lifecycle including order management, specimen tracking, and delivery of test results.
Regulatory Frameworks: Followed strict regulatory guidelines to obtain FDA approval, including the development of secure workflows for patient data and the implementation of complex labeling standards.
AI Assisted User Research: Conducted hundreds of research sessions with stakeholders to anchor our efforts in fact, not fiction. Used AI to generate key findings for individual sessions, and create a queryable library of all research data.
Design Leadership: Built a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency with scalability, and positioned design as key to product strategy, not merely surface.
